Viridis are delighted to announce they are the new UK distributor for Betterbuxus.
What is Betterbuxus?
Betterbuxus is the trade name for Boxwood hybrids, a range of four hybrid blight resistant Buxus varieties, developed by Herplant BV.
These innovative varieties are marketed exclusively in Europe and the United Kingdom by carefully selected distributors of which Viridis have been selected.

The importance of Buxus
Buxus is the highest selling genus for the purpose of hedging and topiary due to its dense habit and iconic dark green colour. Providing structure within a traditional or contemporary garden planting scheme, Buxus is extremely popular amongst are clients. However, Box blight is on the increase and as such clients are constantly enquiring about alternatives. As a business we have trialled several options such as Euonymus, Ilex crenata and Osmanthus successfully, but clients still want a Buxus variety and less so an alternative. Betterbuxus offers the same dense habit, dark green colour with the added value of being a hybrid that is resistant to box blight and Buxus moth.
